Presentation: Maximizing the ROI from Online Marketing
Gian Fulgoni is Executive Chairman and Co-founder of comScore, Inc. (NASDAQ: SCOR), the global leader in measuring the digital world. Using its proprietary technology, comScore continuously measures the online activity of a global, opt-in database of 2 million Internet users and provides its clients with vital market intelligence that helps them maximize the return from their investments in digital marketing. Founded in 1999, comScore has grown rapidly to become one of the largest global market research firms.
Prior to co-founding comScore, Fulgoni served for 18 years as President & CEO of Information Resources (IRI), the innovative company that first harnessed the power of UPC scanner information to the benefit of the CPG industry. He joined IRI as a start-up and under his leadership the company’s revenues grew at an annual compound rate of 40% to levels in excess of $500 Million per year, while the company’s market value reached a peak of $1.5 billion. In 1996, IRI was recognized by Advertising Age as the largest U.S. market research firm.
Fulgoni has long been involved in the growth of successful information technology companies. He served as a member of the boards of Platinum Technology, U.S. Robotics and yesMail.com, which were subsequently acquired by Computer Associates, 3Com and CMGI in transactions valued, in total, at US$12.7 billion.
In 1991 and again in 2004, Fulgoni was named Illinois Entrepreneur of the Year—the only person to have been twice awarded this honor.
Educated in the U.K., Fulgoni holds a B.Sc. degree in Physics and an M.A. in Marketing
